Stew & Bob are off to Sicily, April 25 - May 13.
As the below map shows, after a couple of days in London to recover from the long flight over, we'll fly to Sicily and will be crossing the island from east to west visiting Catania, Syracuse (Ortigia), Ragusa, Piazza Amerino, Agrigento, and finally Castellemmare del Golfo.
Although Sicily is now part of Italy, that's only a relatively recent development (May 15, 1946). For most of its long history, it was fought over and occupied by others. We know we'll see a large collection of ancient Greek temples, but who knows how different modern Sicily is? Come along, and maybe well find out.
Oh, and another thing. Drop us a note sometime. When we're out of the country, it's nice to hear from someone "back home."
